The African Union Conference Center (AUCC) in Addis Ababa, is the venue for the U.S.-Africa Energy Ministerial.  The AUCC Center symbolizes Ethiopia’s growing prominence as Africa’s diplomatic crossroads and at 99.9 meters high, the facility has become Addis Ababa’s tallest building.

 

The African Union Conference Center is a 52,000-square-meter (560,000-square-foot) complex, with an interior decorated with a distinct collection of artwork from across the continent.  A spacious meeting hall is at the very center of the complex, lit by a grand skylight above the 2,500-seat auditorium.  VIP lounges are available between each of the 7 conference halls and 31 caucus rooms.

 

In addition to ample meeting space, the complex also boasts its own library, media center, medical clinic, and catering facilities.
